Can Coll Therapeutic Community
The Can Coll Therapeutic Community offers professional care to people with dependence on alcohol, cocaine and other associated substances (tranquillisers, cannabis, opioids, designer drugs, etc.). It is a medium-stay residential centre—approx. six months—with 34 mixed places.
In operation since 1992, the resource has evolved continuously, optimising the programme of activities, strengthening the multidisciplinary team (psychologists, psychiatrist, educators, social workers and support workers) and constantly renewing its infrastructure, safety, appearance and comfort.
It has extensive facilities: gym, sports court, dining room, common rooms, twin rooms with bathroom, professional offices, laundry, etc. It is located in a highly attractive rural setting (Bages region, 85 km from Barcelona), which makes it easier to take a temporary break from one’s usual home.
The Can Coll Residential Therapeutic Centre is accredited by the Generalitat de Catalunya as a health and social care centre and is part of the Coordinating Body of Therapeutic Communities and Reintegration Flats for professional drug dependence services in Catalonia.
Activity programme
Group psychotherapy (2 sessions a day), Social skills and Relapse prevention.
Individual psychotherapy.
Medical follow-up.
Relaxation techniques and workshops.
Occupational workshops: gardening, vegetable garden, DIY, maintenance and household tasks.
Cultural and educational workshops: IT, debating, magazine and handicrafts.
Leisure activities: individual and group.
Sports activity.
Who is it for?
People with an addiction to alcohol and/or cocaine who have made several outpatient attempts without being able to maintain abstinence over the long term.
People who do not have sufficient support structure to undertake outpatient treatment.
