Since the start of our interventions we have seen how <strong data-start=\"278\" data-end=\"289\">substance use<\/strong> affects the whole <strong data-start=\"308\" data-end=\"328\">family system<\/strong>, can lead to <strong data-start=\"345\" data-end=\"369\">serious consequences<\/strong> and seep into <strong data-start=\"387\" data-end=\"409\">everyday life<\/strong>. At the same time, the family is often the <strong data-start=\"452\" data-end=\"463\">first<\/strong> to notice and suffer the patient\u2019s <strong data-start=\"490\" data-end=\"513\">changes in behaviour<\/strong>, to detect <strong data-start=\"537\" data-end=\"559\">problematic use<\/strong> and its effects; for this reason, they often <strong data-start=\"601\" data-end=\"625\">ask for guidance<\/strong> before the affected person does.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"665\" data-end=\"880\">For this reason, in many cases we begin by seeing <strong data-start=\"723\" data-end=\"749\">the families first<\/strong>, helping them to bring about <strong data-start=\"774\" data-end=\"796\">necessary changes<\/strong> so that certain <strong data-start=\"826\" data-end=\"840\">responses<\/strong> or <strong data-start=\"843\" data-end=\"858\">actions<\/strong> do not perpetuate the substance use.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"882\" data-end=\"1122\">From this angle, our aim is to <strong data-start=\"924\" data-end=\"936\">guide<\/strong> and promote <strong data-start=\"948\" data-end=\"991\">changes in the family environment<\/strong> that <strong data-start=\"996\" data-end=\"1020\">break established patterns<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1036\" data-end=\"1049\">make it easier<\/strong> for the patient to <strong data-start=\"1066\" data-end=\"1096\">decide to start treatment<\/strong> for their drug dependence.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"1124\" data-end=\"1511\">At the same time, our approach has a <strong data-start=\"1163\" data-end=\"1182\">dual focus<\/strong>: <strong data-start=\"1187\" data-end=\"1222\">direct support for families<\/strong>, aware of the <strong data-start=\"1240\" data-end=\"1274\">personal and relational toll<\/strong> that these prolonged situations take. We work on <strong data-start=\"1332\" data-end=\"1354\">relieving guilt<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1359\" data-end=\"1382\">reviewing mistakes<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1388\" data-end=\"1411\">reframing roles<\/strong> so that the problem can be tackled from <strong data-start=\"1448\" data-end=\"1476\">more functional positions<\/strong> and with <strong data-start=\"1483\" data-end=\"1510\">better emotional management<\/strong>.<\/p><hr data-start=\"1513\" data-end=\"1516\" \/><h2 style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"1518\" data-end=\"1536\">What do we offer?<\/h2><ul style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"1538\" data-end=\"1824\"><li data-start=\"1538\" data-end=\"1668\"><p data-start=\"1540\" data-end=\"1668\"><strong data-start=\"1540\" data-end=\"1570\">Psychotherapeutic care:<\/strong> guidance and treatment sessions with a <strong data-start=\"1616\" data-end=\"1665\">psychologist specialising in drug dependence<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1669\" data-end=\"1824\"><p data-start=\"1671\" data-end=\"1824\"><strong data-start=\"1671\" data-end=\"1729\">Group therapy for family members \/ Family group:<\/strong> <strong data-start=\"1730\" data-end=\"1752\">monthly sessions<\/strong> of <strong data-start=\"1756\" data-end=\"1777\">therapeutic group work<\/strong> with <strong data-start=\"1782\" data-end=\"1809\">exclusive participation<\/strong> of family members.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><hr data-start=\"1826\" data-end=\"1829\" \/><h2 style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"1831\" data-end=\"1850\">What do we work on?<\/h2><p style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"1852\" data-end=\"2317\">Through the <strong data-start=\"1861\" data-end=\"1888\">therapeutic format<\/strong> we help families to <strong data-start=\"1915\" data-end=\"1930\">reflect<\/strong> on <strong data-start=\"1941\" data-end=\"1952\">boundaries<\/strong>, which <strong data-start=\"1958\" data-end=\"1985\">behaviours to allow or not<\/strong>, how to <strong data-start=\"1992\" data-end=\"2023\">respond to substance use<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2025\" data-end=\"2044\">review mistakes<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"2047\" data-end=\"2068\">align criteria<\/strong> in the face of different ways of tackling the problem. We address <strong data-start=\"2133\" data-end=\"2158\">challenging behaviour<\/strong> and teach <strong data-start=\"2171\" data-end=\"2192\">how to take a stance<\/strong> when the <strong data-start=\"2201\" data-end=\"2226\">patient refuses<\/strong> to start treatment, so that this resistance is transformed into a <strong data-start=\"2296\" data-end=\"2316\">request for
